Departure for Ephesus.

Visit to the House of the Virgin Mary. According to the documents of the Ecumenical Council, the Virgin Mary came to Ephesus with John, settled in a house located in the place where the church is currently located, living her last years in this city. This place has been declared a holy place by the Catholic Church. Pope Paul VI visited this sanctuary in 1967.

Visit to the ancient city of Ephesus, where we will see the following ruins:

- The Grand Theater, which dates from the Hellenic period. It was successfully rebuilt by the Romans in Year 1, increasing its capacity to 25,000 seats. This place was used by St. Paul to preach. Currently used for concerts: Joan Baez and Jethro Tull are examples of artists who have performed in this scenario.

- The Marble Route is located between the library of Celsus and the theater, and is part of the sacred passage.

- The Celsus Library is the best preserved structure of its kind. It was built by Julio in honor of his father, Celsio, who was the Roman governor of Asia Minor at the beginning of the second century. His tomb is in the library.

- The Temple of Hadrian, was built in the year 118 to dedicate it to him, Artemis and the people of Ephesus. In the fourth century it was the object of a great reconstruction. This temple, of impressive Corinthian style, has beautiful reliefs on its porch. According to the beliefs of the Ephesians, the head of Medusa on the porch, would defend the city from its enemies.

- Visit to the Basilica of San Juan. In the fourth century, 300 years after the death of St. John, a small chapel was built on the hill of Ayasuluk, on his grave. This church was replaced by a large basilica in the 6th century, built by the Emperor Justinian, whose impressive ruins we can observe.
